Research
I'm currently a graduate student at:
-- MIT: Massachusetts Institute of Technology
---- CSAIL: Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory
------ SLS: Spoken Language Systems Group
I am interested in:
- Speech Recognition: noise robustness, acoustic modeling
- Understanding/indexing of general audio, Computational Auditory Scene Analysis
- Machine Learning, Computational Neuroscience
- Signal Processing, time-frequency representations, auditory modeling
- Music transcription and music information retrieval
I have a very brief bio on the SLS website here.
The current direction of my work is described in the following paper,
Ken Schutte and James Glass. "Speech Recognition with Localized Time-Frequency Pattern Detectors". Proc. ASRU, 341-346, Kyoto, Japan, December 2007. PDF
